PARTNER WITH US

In the last year, there has been an unprecedented reckoning of the impact of systemic racism on Black scientists. Many institutions within scientific and medical ecosystems have committed to increasing diversity, implementing anti-racism programs, and taking up allyship to improve professional environments for Black individuals.

We are offering you the opportunity to take concrete actionable steps in collaboration with us. We have designed a simple framework for interested institutions, and are looking for partners who are dedicated to:

  • Creating more equitable and inclusive research environments for Black immunologists

  • Working toward dismantling systemic barriers and oppressive structures that hinder Black researchers in their local research community

3-point framework for Diversity & Belonging of Black Scientists in STEM

We have designed a simple 3-point framework for institutions that are willing to create a more equitable and inclusive experience for Black immunologists and commit to work toward dismantling the systemic barriers that affect Black scholars in their local community:

  1. Transparency and accountability on diversity: commit to collecting and publishing demographic data regarding Black individuals in your local community.

  2. Allyship learning expansion: commit to increasing DEI training in your community.

  3. Action Plan: set objectives you want to achieve, including percentage increase of Black individuals in your community and percentage increase in DEI training. Publish your Action Plan as well as an annual report that will outline progress made on our website.

This framework can be applied at all scales of your community.

Partnership benefits

By adhering to our 3-point framework and deploying efforts to take transformative action in your local community, you become a partner of Black In Immuno and as such benefit from our acknowledgement package:

  • One year use of a special “#BlackInImmuno Partner” logo

  • Acknowledgement of the partner on our website, social media, and press releases.

In addition, partners will have access to exclusive networking events that will be organized as part of #BlackInImmuno Hub (virtual meet-ups, job fairs, and other).
